No. 45 – Arbor of Life – 24" Necklace

A one-of-a-kind necklace rooted in one of humanity’s oldest and most universal symbols — the Tree of Life, rendered here not as a printed motif or a stamped charm, but as a living sculpture of copper wire formed by hand directly within the pendant frame.

The strand is a warm, autumnal composition: deep orange carnelian rounds glow like late afternoon sun, honey yellow jade or calcite rounds carry the colour of dried grass and old gold, and brown picture jasper rounds bring the mottled, earthen texture of bark and soil. Cream bone heishi rounds add organic lightness between the richer tones, and small ornate gold barrel accent beads thread through the strand with warm, decorative precision.

The pendant is the piece’s soul: a large oval dark green nephrite jade or malachite cabochon, its deep forest colour grounding the entire warm palette with cool, rooted stillness — and within the copper wire frame that holds it, a Tree of Life has been sculpted in fine copper wire, its trunk rising from the base of the stone, its branches spreading across the face of the pendant in delicate, reaching arcs. It is not placed on the stone. It grows from it.
