No. 50 – Baroque Pearl Ring, Raw Crystal & Gold Moss Circle | Miniature Worlds Paperweight

$145.00

Every Miniature World begins with a single bead — and a question: what story does it want to tell? The fiftieth answered from the deepest place — from the dark beneath the forest floor where the roots go, where the crystals grow in the black without light, where the pearls and the gold moss and the ancient stones have been waiting since before anyone thought to look.

This is Miniature World No. 50 — the fiftieth piece in this collection, and the darkest, most primordially powerful of them all. Circular, smooth-domed, approximately 3–4” diameter × 1” high. The resin is near-total black — deep espresso and obsidian — with warm gold moss shimmer threaded throughout like veins of ancient gold in dark rock. In a perfect inner ring, eight baroque freshwater pearls — irregularly shaped, lustrous, silver-white and blush — alternate with eight dark oxidized silver flat disc rondelle beads — a mandala of pearl and dark silver, a rosary of ancient things. At the center, two raw stones hold court: a dramatic cluster of raw blue-grey crystal points — natural, unpolished, jagged and alive; and a deep dark amber-garnet raw mineral — earthy, ancient, and absolute. Between and beneath them, warm yellow-gold dried moss or lichen — the forest floor, the gold that grows in the dark.

Eight pearls. Eight dark silver moons. Two raw stones from the earth’s interior. Gold that grows in the dark. This is what the fiftieth world is made of.
