No. 39 – Celestial Constellation – 21" Necklace
A one-of-a-kind necklace assembled from the warm, earthy palette of the desert night sky — rich terracotta, deep garnet, golden tiger's eye, and at its centre, a pendant that holds an actual star.
The strand moves through a considered constellation of earthy stones: small picture jasper rounds in warm brown and tan, deep red garnet rounds that pulse with dark intensity, orange carnelian rounds that glow like embers, and tiger's eye rounds whose golden chatoyancy shifts with every movement. Ornate silver script barrel accent beads appear at intervals — engraved, detailed, and adding a note of ancient script to the composition's earthy warmth.
The pendant is the piece's most extraordinary element: a shield-shaped orange carnelian or fire opal cabochon, vivid and luminous, held in a beautifully worked copper wire wrap frame — and at its very heart, a carved star stone sits like a celestial navigation point. The star within the stone within the pendant is the kind of detail that stops people mid-sentence and makes them reach out to look more closely.
Photographed on a spectacular iridescent black opal slab — its surface alive with shifting blue, green and orange fire — surrounded by loose Ethiopian opal cabochons and rose gold star confetti. A setting as cosmic and considered as the piece it frames.
Impression: Warm, cosmic, and quietly breathtaking. Celestial Constellation is for the woman who has always navigated by the stars — and now wears one to prove it.
