No. 52 – The Ancient Way – 22" Necklace

A necklace assembled from the vocabulary of ancient trade routes. Laid against rough linen and worn wood — because this piece belongs in that company.

The strand moves through dark rosewood rounds, deep lapis rounds in cobalt and midnight blue, textured rudraksha seed beads, and hand-painted dzi barrel beads in white with black wave markings. Chevron trade beads in red, white, and blue punctuate the strand with centuries of exchange. A small carved bone cylinder adds a final note of quiet ceremony.

The pendant is a large spherical Kashmiri-style locket in oxidized silver — hand-engraved with floral scrollwork and set with cobalt enamel inlay. It opens. It hangs at the sternum with the gravity of an heirloom.
