No. 37 – Sanctuary of the Scroll – 42" Necklace
A one-of-a-kind necklace of rare devotional beauty — assembled from sacred Tibetan materials and finished with a pendant that chimes softly with every step, like a temple bell carried close to the heart.
The long strand flows through dark green jade rounds, their deep, grounding colour forming the perfect foundation for the burst of colour that follows: small multicoloured stone rounds in teal, yellow, red and cobalt blue that shift the palette into something festive, celebratory, and deeply alive. Ornate silver filigree spacer beads punctuate the strand with fine metalwork detail, drawing the eye downward toward the remarkable centrepiece.
The pendant is extraordinary: a large barrel-shaped Tibetan cloisonné enamel cylinder in vivid cobalt blue, its surface bearing a gold relief Om or protective deity motif, bordered above and below with yellow and red enamel bands of traditional Himalayan decorative work. From the base of the cylinder, five delicate silver chains descend, each ending in a small silver bell. They chime with the wearer's movement — a constant, gentle reminder of presence, breath, and the sacred ordinary.
Photographed on dark wood engraved with a Dharma wheel, beside a dried botanical sprig, a smooth bodhi seed, and a tied birchbark scripture scroll — objects of practice, patience, and the written sacred word.
Impression: Sacred, resonant, and completely unforgettable. Sanctuary of the Scroll is for the woman who carries her practice with her — and lets it be heard.
