No. 55 – Tibetan Journeys – 16" Necklace
A necklace that carries its meaning close to the body.
The strand is strung on dark brown colored cord, knotted with care. Two large Tibetan cloisonné barrel beads — richly decorated in teal, red, and gold inlay — anchor the composition on either side. Between them, smooth coral rounds in warm brick red, turned wood beads in amber brown, and small ornate gold filigree rondelles create a rhythm that feels both ancient and considered.
The pendant depicts Guan Yin, one of the most beloved and venerated deities in Chinese Buddhism. Hand-carved in dark resin or wood, the elongated tablet shows her figure in fine relief — holding a lotus flower at her center, a symbol of wisdom and purity. Her robe hangs with authority yet conveys a deeply compassionate nature.
A small brass star charm finishes the clasp end — quietly present, easy to miss, and exactly right.
Draped over natural linen on a dark wood surface — the styling is as considered as the piece itself.
Arrives wrapped and ready to wear or gift.
Short, grounded, and intentional. A piece for the wearer who moves through the world with quiet conviction. Guan Yin close to the heart — compassion made wearable. One of a kind.
