No. 45 – Copper Coral Treasure & Turquoise Ocean | Miniature Worlds Paperweight

Every Miniature World begins with a single bead — and a question: what story does it want to tell? This one answered from the ocean floor — from a place where shipwrecked jewelry becomes part of the coral, and the coral becomes something stranger and more beautiful than either was alone.

This round resin paperweight is the most narratively rich piece in the collection. The dome is formed in translucent teal and aqua green resin with a diamond star-cut faceted surface and a beautifully organic irregular edge — alive with color, like light filtered through shallow water. The entire mid-field is packed with crushed turquoise in vivid sky blue and teal, dense as a coral reef floor. Warm gold and orange glitter flakes drift throughout, with small iridescent square mirror tiles catching light in the depths. Rising from the upper composition, a dramatic rough copper and rose-gold organic sculptural cluster — branching and coral-like — holds a collection of treasures: a pair of handmade eco earrings hang from the copper rock itself, their drops catching light as if still being worn by the reef. Alongside them: a lustrous pearl, a vivid pink heart-shaped enamel charm, a warm gold citrine teardrop, and additional tiny jewel forms, all embedded as if claimed over centuries. At the lower center, an ornate vintage copper pendant — circular and intricate, like a tiny astrolabe or pocket watch face — rests with a small dangling drop charm below it.
