No. 51 – Forest Moon & Ocean Floor Diorama Box – Miniature World

Every Miniature World begins with a single bead — and a question: what story does it want to tell? This one told two. Open the lid and find yourself at the edge of a forest at dusk — silver deer, evergreen trees, a harvest moon rising amber over the moss. Look down into the base and you’re beneath the water — fish darting past coral and stone, a silver starfish resting on the ocean floor. Two worlds. One box. One hinge between them.

This rectangular hinged wooden keepsake box is unlike anything else in the Miniature Worlds collection — the first diorama box, with two fully realized resin scenes revealed when opened. The exterior is hand-painted in sky blue, forest green, and deep burgundy red, with an ornate gold clasp on the front. Inside the lid, blue resin shimmered with gold glitter holds a miniature forest scene: scaled evergreen trees on the left, a delicate silver deer figurine mid-scene, a silver crescent moon charm overhead, a pearl-topped accent, and a glowing amber agate disc rising like a harvest moon at upper right, all grounded by a moss-covered base. The bottom panel holds a deeper blue aquatic resin scene: a realistic miniature fish lure in olive and gold, a tiny red and white fish charm, a silver starfish, green pine sprigs, shell and coral clusters, organic stone groupings, and a delicate teal patterned charm — the full mystery of the ocean floor.
