No. 55 – Malachite, Garnet & Gold Oval | Miniature Worlds Paperweight
Every Miniature World begins with a single bead — and a question: what story does it want to tell? This one answered from an alchemist’s table — from a time when gold was still being made, when malachite was medicine and garnets were currency and every surface worth owning was covered in both.
This oval rounded-rectangle resin piece continues the new form in the Miniature Worlds collection. Approximately 3”×5”×1” high with smooth domed edges. The resin is a rich warm golden amber — saturated with deep gold pigment and copper and rose gold flakes throughout — extraordinary in its depth and warmth, like liquid gold poured and held still. A large malachite stone anchors the upper right — vivid deep emerald green with dramatic dark banded swirl patterns, the most visually commanding stone in the collection. A smooth rounded cream and honey tumbled stone rests at left center — soft and warm against the gold field. At center, a delicate gold hoop earring with a single pearl drop — refined, personal, and perfectly placed. A fine strand of tiny white seed beads weaves through the composition. Deep crimson garnet faceted beads and small dark tiger’s eye round beads are scattered through the field. A dried botanical sprig — lavender or herb — adds a delicate organic note to the upper area. Gold leaf flakes are abundant throughout.
