No. 38 – Millefiori Forest Floor | Miniature Worlds Paperweight

Every Miniature World begins with a single bead — and a question: what story does it want to tell? This one answered from deep in the woods, where the light barely reaches and the moss grows thick and the floor holds every secret the forest has ever kept.

This round resin paperweight is the most intricately bordered and atmospherically dark piece in the collection. The outer ring of the dome is encircled by dozens of tiny millefiori mosaic glass beads — each one a miniature cross-section of a patterned glass cane, forming a full mosaic band of extraordinary color and craft around the entire perimeter. Inside that border, the center field holds dark smoky resin like a moonlit forest floor at midnight. Arching across the upper portion, long wispy cream dried grasses catch the light against the darkness. A large, richly textured pinecone cluster anchors the left of the composition. A polished jade green sphere glows at center — vivid, smooth, and alive against the dark resin. Tiny dried orange and yellow wildflower blossoms add warm sparks of color. Olive green accent beads and a deep dark driftwood piece complete the scene.
