No. 60 – Raw Copper, Jade & Pearl Ring Oval | Miniature Worlds Paperweight
Every Miniature World begins with a single bead — and a question: what story does it want to tell? This one answered from two directions at once — from the deep earth where copper forms in raw jagged brilliance, and from the careful human hands that strung the pearls in a circle and set the jade inside them like something worth protecting.
This oval rounded-rectangle resin piece continues the horizontal form in the Miniature Worlds collection. Approximately 5” wide × 3” tall × 1” high, smooth full dome. The resin is rich copper and rose-bronze metallic — warm, luminous, and hammered-looking — with vivid cobalt and sapphire blue iridescent paint splashes scattered throughout the field, electric and unexpected, like lightning caught in copper. The dominant left element is a dramatic large raw native copper mineral specimen — jagged, bright metallic orange-copper, wildly textural, genuine and unprocessed — the most primal raw mineral in the collection. To the right, a complete strand of large lustrous white pearls forms a perfect circle — a full pearl bracelet ring — cradling within it a large smooth rounded jade or green aventurine stone in soft sage and seafoam green, beautiful and calm. A substantial gold leaf flake rests atop the jade — crown, offering, and punctuation.
